Privacy Policy

TotalBodyIQ (“we”, “us”, “our”) is developed and operated by Andy Dabbs, based in the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the TotalBodyIQ mobile application (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide: profile information (name, fitness level, training goals, and equipment preferences entered during onboarding); workout data (exercises, sets, reps, weights, and session notes); body measurements (weight, body fat percentage, and related metrics); run and cardio data (GPS route data, distance, pace, and activity type).

1.2 Information from Apple Health (HealthKit): with your explicit permission, TotalBodyIQ may read and write: heart rate (read), for real-time HR zone display; active energy burned (read/write), for calorie tracking; workout data (write), to save completed workouts to Apple Health; step count (read), for daily activity context. HealthKit data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. It is processed entirely on your device.

1.3 Information collected automatically: device information (device model, OS version, and app version for crash diagnostics); usage analytics (anonymised, aggregated feature usage data, which cannot identify you personally).

1.4 Subscription information: subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store. We do not collect or store payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and personalise the training experience; calculate training metrics, body load analysis, and progress statistics; power the badge and achievement system; sync data between iPhone and Apple Watch; improve app performance through anonymised analytics; and manage subscription status.

3. Data Storage and Security

On-device processing: all intelligence engines run on your device. Training data is not uploaded to external servers. Local storage: workout history and preferences are stored locally. iCloud sync: data may be included in device backups, subject to Apple’s policies. No third-party trackers: no advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or data brokers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data. Data may only be disclosed when required by law or through Apple’s standard frameworks.

5. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port, and object to processing of your data. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. Contact support@totalbodyiq.co.uk to exercise your rights.

6. Children’s Privacy

TotalBodyIQ is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

7. Data Retention

Data is retained on your device while you use the App. Deleting the App removes all local data. Anonymised analytics may be retained for up to 24 months.

8. International Transfers

Data is processed primarily on your device. Anonymised analytics data is handled within the UK and EEA.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the App or App Store update notes.
